MusicBrainz Picard is a cross-platform (Linux/Mac OS X/Windows) application written in Python and is the official MusicBrainz tagger.

Picard supports the majority of audio file formats, is capable of using audio fingerprints (PUIDs), performing CD lookups and disc ID submissions, and it has excellent Unicode support. Additionally, there are several plugins available that extend Picard’s features.

The two plugins i found most useful were
Last.fm Tags – Use Last.fm tags as “genre” (This may slow down auto tagging significantly but does a good job)
Cover Art Downloader – Downloads cover art for optional tag embedding and/or saving as a separate image file (works fast and seamlessly)

This is a quick tutorial that will show how to get Hercules RMX installed and working with Mixxx DJ software on Ubuntu 9.10
- the Karmic Koala .

First go to http://www.mixxx.org/download.php and downloaded the latest version of Mixxx

Then download the package below and install the Hercules RMX driver for Ubuntu Here
hdjmod-dkms_1.28_karmic.deb

Then download the Hercules RMX control panel here
ftp://ftp.hercules.com/pub/webupdate/DJCSeries/Hercules_DJSeries_Linux.tgz
And if your on x86 install hdjcpl_1.09-1_i386.deb
and if your on x64  install hdjcpl_1.09-1_amd64.deb
Make sure MIDI Channel is set to (1 Default)

Now open up Mixxx and go to Options>Preferences and make sure your settings are the same as the following images and you are set to mix!

Thanks to pizzapanther on the Mixxx forums we now have a working dep for Hercules RMX drivers for Ubuntu.

First impressions.

The interface is really nice and intuitive
It connected to my word press blog easily
adding a photo from your pc is a snap.You can even add effects and resize the photo easily. Text editing is nice it has inline spell checking and its really easy to format.

 

Insert maps, links, videos(from YouTube and windows live accounts and any embed video code easily as well as videos from your pc) and has option for additional plug-ins for a ton of different things.

 

 

 

 

 

 
It also has an option to preview your post your working on right on your website.

Only problem I see is that it doesn’t integrate the option to insert photos or other media that’s already on my word press.

<–But you can drag and drop photos from your web browser into Live Writer but you cannot ad effects to them.

It also lets you edit older posts that were made without live writer.

I think I will be using this program instead of logging into the dashboard for word press on my website. I’ll update this post after I use it for a week or two.

Before anything make sure you have your Hercules RMX plugged in and latest drivers installed.

Download the Traktor Midi Map of your choice below.

Now open up Traktor DJ and click on the sprocket icon for settings next to the magnifying glass

Then click import

Find the file you downloaded and click it then click open.

Now just click OK and your done.

Changed buttons 4 5 6 on RMX left deck to turn on FX1 buttons 1 2 and 3 by holding it down

Changed buttons 4 5 6 on RMX right deck to turn on FX2 buttons 1 2 and 3 by holding it down

Changed gain on RMX left and right to control the Filter for each deck A & B

Made Balance on RMX control the Effect amount on FX1 & FX2 for FX button 3

You know what really sucks and we dont know how to get our money back is we tried buying a New House so we went to coldwell legacy banker

cuz we thought they would be a good place to buy from cuz u see there signs every where Right ??

well we went in myself and @djmoya and we gave all are info like our taxes for the last two year check stubs everything they asked for

let me just say that the two people we delt with over at coldwell legacy banker The Realtor Barbara Pommer and Mariah Turjillo ARE CROOKS & LAIRS

we got a Letter from Mariah saying that our Pre-Approval has been Approved ok so she says congrats. go Home shopping. yay! so we did.

So we Found our Home so we thought !! We went to Atreus Homes we put 500.00 down as Ernest money. ok so like a week goes by and Mariah says

we dont qualify for the amount. she says u do qualify for a lower amount witch is fine so we were looking for that price range right

well then my Realtor went out of the country for two weeks mind u we went to these people to watch our backs cuz we dont know whats going on.

we are first time home buyers ! So we needed to get a letter back to Atreus Homes with in 30 days or file a extension so we dont lose our money but

NO ONE TOLD US THAT! NOT THE HOME BUILDER, REALTOR, OR THE MORTGAGE CONSULTANT WHAT WE

WERE LEAD TO BELIEVE WAS IF WE DIDNT GET THE LOAN WE WOULD GET OUR MONEY BACK AND IF WE PULLED OUT OF THE DEAL WE
